Utilities & Services

Utilities & Services

The Town of Westlock is committed to providing residents and businesses with safe, reliable, and efficient utility services.

Water Services

Potable water is supplied by the Westlock Regional Water Services Commission and is tested weekly for bacteria and chlorine to ensure it meets provincial safety standards.

Sewer and Wastewater

The Town maintains wastewater infrastructure to safely manage and treat sewage from homes and businesses.

Utility Connections

If you're moving into a new home or building, please submit your application at least 48 hours in advance to allow time for water meter installation. For all other service changes—including moving within Westlock or relocating to another area—please complete a Utilities Disconnect Form and provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Most properties in Westlock are equipped with remote water meter readers, meaning Town staff do not need to enter your home to read the meter. Meters are read monthly, and bills are mailed accordingly.

Rates and Billing

Utility rates are reviewed and set annually by Council through the budget process and approved by bylaw. Monthly bills include a fixed service fee for water and wastewater services.
