Host an Event in Westlock

Event organizers are required to submit a Festival & Event Application Form so we can help ensure safety, accessibility, and coordination across services such as parks, roads, utilities, and emergency support.

Submitting an application allows us to:

Confirm site availability
Coordinate required permits or approvals
Support smooth event logistics
Ensure public spaces are used safely and responsibly

Please submit your application at least 30 days before your event.

These events are proudly hosted or co-hosted by the Town of Westlock and are open to all members of the community.

Easter Egg Hunt

Date: Saturday, April 4 // 12 p.m.
Location: Westlock Rotary Spirit Centre, 9603–100 Street

Get ready for an egg-stra special afternoon! Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is back with candy-filled eggs, prizes, and lots of excitement for kids 12 and under. Please bring your own basket.

Ages 7–12: Fieldhouse, Court 1

Town-Wide Garage Sale

Date: June 20, 2026 // 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Location: Westlock

Registration: opens Friday, May 1, Closes Friday, June 5.
Cost: $5.00

Whether you’re clearing space or searching for treasures, it’s the perfect way to connect with
the community and score some great deals. Maps showing the participating sales will be available on the Town’s website, social media, and at Town facilities the week of the sale.

Westlock C.O.P. Car Show and Pop Up Market

Date: June 20, 2026 // 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: West Side Parking Lot at the Westlock Rotary Spirit Centre, 9603 – 100 Street

Join us June 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a one-of-a-kind car show and local market shopping in support of your local Citizens on Patrol.

The market will be located inside (and outside) the Curling Rink.

Food trucks will be on site.

Blue Suede Music Festival

Each July, the Town of Westlock welcomes the Blue Suede Music Festival to our community. This 3-day festival celebrates Elvis Presley, King of Rock and Roll with tribute artists and performers from all over Canada and the US. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Gathering

Each year, the Town of Westlock hosts a community gathering in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This free event features a traditional meal, dance performance, and opportunities for shared learning and reflection.

We invite all residents to join us for an evening of song, culture, and community connection as we honour the children who never returned home, the survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

No registration is required. All are welcome.

Join us for a spooktacular evening of Halloween fun at Westlock's Trunk or Treat, where decorated trunks from local groups offer a safe, festive alternative to traditional trick-or-treating.

Dress up in your best costume and bring the whole family for a night of trick-or-treating, music, and community fun. It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween while supporting local businesses!

Haunted House

Dare to enter… if you’re brave enough! The Westlock Aquatic Centre is transforming into a spook-tacular Haunted House for ages 10 and up. Explore winding hallways filled with eerie decorations, haunting spooks, and just the right amount of fright.

This family-friendly haunted adventure is designed to be spooky and fun — with creepy surprises, and plenty of laughs along the way. Bring your friends, test your courage, and see who makes it through without screaming!

Costumes are encouraged, and treats will be waiting at the end for those who survive the journey. 🎃

Boo Bash

Calling all little ghosts and goblins ages 4–8! Join us at the Westlock Rotary Spirit Centre Field House for a spook-tacular Boo Bash. Kids can enjoy fun games, collect candy, and laugh with friends in a safe and playful environment.

There will be plenty of room for free play, so come ready to run, play, and have a fang-tastic time! Costumes are encouraged — and don’t forget your trick-or-treat bag. 🕸️🍬

Light Up Westlock & Christmas Parade

Kick off the holiday season in Westlock with our annual Light Up event and Christmas Parade! This festive evening features the official light up of downtown, a cheerful parade through downtown, and plenty of seasonal magic for all ages.

Skate with Santa

The ice is twinkling and Santa’s ready to glide! Bring your Christmas cheer and join us for a festive family skate with Santa himself.

Everyone’s welcome. CSA-approved helmets must be worn by all participants 17 and under. No chairs, strollers, sticks, pucks, rings or balls permitted on the ice.
