What is Bylaw 2025-13?
Bylaw 2025-13 is an amendment proposed by a landowner to the Town of Westlock’s Land Use Bylaw to change the zoning of 9840 105 Street from R1 (Low Density Residential District) to R2 (Medium Density Residential District). This change is intended to allow for the development of additional housing units on the property (up to 4 maximum). A list of the uses in the current versus proposed district is available for review.

Public Hearing will be held to provide an opportunity for members of the public to speak to Council on the proposed amendment commencing at 6:30 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2025, at Council Chambers (Heritage Building, 10003 100 Avenue, Westlock).  Electronic attendance will also be available via Zoom – connection details are available on the Town’s website at www.westlock.ca/public-hearings.

Written submissions are highly encouraged and may be provided to Council during the Public Hearing, however, it is requested that a copy of the written submission be delivered to the Town Office or emailed to planning@westlock.ca, by 4:30 p.m. on September 8, to ensure that each member of Council has a copy of the written submission for the Public Hearing.

Speaking at the Public Hearing: Members of the public who wish to address Council are encouraged to register in advance. This helps ensure you will be heard at a specific time.  People who do not register to speak in advance will be heard when time permits.

Presentation Time: Each presenter will be allotted 5 minutes maximum to speak. The deadline to register is 4:30 p.m., September 8. The names of persons providing comments will become part of the public record.

Questions: Planning & Development Staff are available to help answer questions about the proposed ASP, how it may impact you, and the public hearing process.
