A Development Permit ensures your project complies with the Town’s Land Use Bylaw. It regulates how land is used and considers location, size, and potential impact before construction begins.
You may need a Development Permit for:
- Constructing or renovating a building
- Opening, expanding, or relocating a business
- Installing or altering signage
- Placing structures such as manufactured homes, seacans, or fabric garages
- Excavation, grading, or topsoil removal
- Temporary uses or buildings
- Parking or storage of trailers, bunkhouses, or portable dwellings
Not all projects require a Development Permit, but many do. Please contact us early in your planning process to avoid delays.
