Westlock, AB - The Town of Westlock marked a significant milestone today with the groundbreaking of Eastgate Square, the community’s new commercial development.

Located at 10732-100 Street, Eastgate Square will provide new opportunities for retail, dining, and services that strengthen the local economy, create jobs, and enhance the quality of life for residents. The development is part of the Town’s commitment to fostering growth and supporting local business investment.

“Eastgate Square represents confidence in our community’s future,” said Simone Wiley, Chief Administrative Officer, Town of Westlock. “This new development will bring jobs, services, and renewed energy to our town, while reinforcing Westlock as a hub for the region.”

The groundbreaking ceremony brought together Town Council, staff, local business leaders, regional partners, and community members to officially mark the start of construction.

“I believe that investment into this community is so important, and it feels good to be able to invest into the place that raised me and where I continue to raise my family.” said Dan Horinek, President/CAO, DCH Limited, ”Through thoughtful development, we are working to build spaces that enrich the community in Westlock, to give businesses and other entities a place to grow and succeed – and most importantly giving them that chance right here at home.”

Eastgate Square will complement the existing commercial areas, offering residents more choice and convenience, while also advancing the Town’s goals of economic development and regional growth.
