    Virtual Public Hearings

    To allow for new development or redevelopment, Council considers applications in order to apply new regulations to a site.  All property owners have the right to make an application to change their land use designation.  Anyone who feels they may be affected by the proposal has the right to voice their opinion through the Public Hearing process. 

    In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and in an effort to maximize physical distancing, Council meetings including Public Hearings will now be conducted virtually.  All upcoming council agendas can be accessed on the Council Agenda page under Town Hall.

    Instructions on how to attend the Public Hearing are included with the information about each relevant hearing.

    You may indicate your support or opposition to a Public Hearing item in one of the following ways:

    In order to be included for consideration by Council, submissions must be received no later than 12:00 noon on the date of the Public Hearing.

    Hearing Notices

    A Public Hearing for Bylaw 2020-21 being a Bylaw to amend the Consolidated Land Use Bylaw 2015-02 by rezoning Lots 1 And 2, Block 6, Plan 7432AN From R1 (Low Density Residential) District to R2 (Medium Density Residential) district is scheduled for:

    October 26th, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.

    The Public Hearing provides an opportunity for persons affected by the proposed amendment to object or make suggestions prior to Council Resolution. If you wish to make a submission for Council’s consideration at the public hearing, written submissions can be emailed to planning@westlock.ca, faxed to 780 349 4436, mailed in to or dropped off in the drop box at the Town Office. Submissions must be made by 12:00 noon, Monday, October 26th, 2020. 

    TAKE NOTICE THAT in accordance with the Municipal Government Act, as amended, Council of the Town of Westlock have established a Public Hearing date to rezone Lot 1 & 2, Block 6, Plan 7432AN from R1 (Low Density Residential) district to R2 (Medium Density Residential) District.

    Public Hearing for Bylaw 2020-19 to amend Land Use Bylaw 2015-02 adding Recycling Depot as a Discretionary Use in the Industrial Light District

    PUBLIC HEARING IS SCHEDULED FOR:

    October 13th, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
